The 50th Anniversary of V.E. Day celebrated by a V.E. Day tea and 1940’s entertainment. The museum put on a display for the weekend in Earlswood Village Hall.
In 2014, the Museum opened for a weekend in September. Everyone contributed to an exhibition of WWI memorabilia. Members of the community brought in family photographs, letters, diaries and mementos. Stratford Armouries lent us a Howitzer to stand outside the Village Hall. There was a special commemorative service at the War Memorial in Tanworth and a Flower Festival in the Church. Afternoon tea was served in Tanworth Village Hall with Musical entertainment, which included WWI Songs. A Beer and Skittles night with a Fish and Chip Supper was held at Earlswood Village Hall. It is hoped that this event will be repeated again in the future.
